The Cary and Raleigh Housing Market have seen a rapid increase in home values overall.
Below is an interactive chart.
Our Raleigh Cary area markets have been very busy this year.
If you were looking for a home priced under $300,000, you faced many challenges.
Our for sale housing inventory has been at record lows throughout 2016.
This is especially true for homes priced under $300,000.
I’ve had may buyer clients experience the heartache of bidding wars.
In most cases the under $300,000 price point homes sold within 24 hours of hitting
the market. You could expect to compete with multiple prospective home buyers
with only a short window of time to submit your best and final offer.
Looking into our crystal ball for 2017, we expect more of the same.
There are more home buyers than home sellers right now.
I will discuss how to present your best offer when faced with a multiple bid
situation in another blog…or you can contact me directly and I’ll share my tips
We also saw lower than average inventory in the higher priced homes as well.
Several of my clients experienced multiple bids for homes in the hottest
neighborhoods in Cary, Raleigh, Apex and Morrisville, even in the over
the over 1 million price range.
The solution?…if you love it, don’t wait. Expect to offer more than asking price
if the home is in one of our many highly sought after areas.
